Franklin's historic downtown invites you in for a Great American Main Street experience.  The Victorian commercial district, with beautifully renovated historic buildings offers an eclectic mix of boutiques, antiques shops and restaurants for browsing, strolling and dining.  Take a walking tour with Franklin on Foot and learn fascinating stories of the town’s history.

Follow the Tennessee Civil War Trail and discover the largest number of markers in Franklin and Williamson County.  Experience Franklin’s Civil War history through local attractions such as Historic Carnton Plantation, home of The New York Times best seller, The Widow of the South.  And The Carter House, considered the epicenter of the Battle of Franklin along with neighboring Lotz House. Experience the African American story with a visit to McLemore House, built by a freed slave.

The Factory at Franklin is a complex of depression-era factory buildings renovated into a shopping, dining and entertainment venue including restaurants, antiques shops, local artists and shops.

Leiper’s Fork, a charming historic village, is Frankin's "Country Cousin" with antiques, artists and one-of-a kind shops including an upscale art gallery.  Convenient to Leiper's Fork, visitors can experience the Natchez Trace Parkway, a National ScenicByway and All-American Road, through driving, hiking, biking, horsebackriding and camping.

Arrington Vineyards, located in the beautiful rolling countryside of Williamson County just minutes from Franklin is owned by Kix Brooks of the duo Brooks & Dunn, country music's singing sensation. Wine tastings are free in the unique, rustic tasting lodge and bring a picnic basket for “Music in the Vines”, Arrington’s live entertainment on the weekends. And it’s free, along with the breathtaking scenery!
